A USDA website includes advice and guidance on everything a new farm business owner needs to know, from writing a business plan, to developing new markets, supporting more effective farming. Signups are now open for the USDA Milk Loss Program which offers assistance for eligible dairy operations for milk that was dumped or removed, without compensation, from the commercial milk market due to qualifying weather events and the consequences from those events during calendar years 2020, 2021 and 2022.
