The Ohio FFA has a new program for seniors looking to enter the workforce after graduation. It is entitled Ohio FFA Works. It is thanks to a partnership with six companies to offer even more full-time agricultural employment opportunities to graduating FFA members this spring. Here is a friendly reminder from your county FSA office. Now that the final quarter of the year has arrived and harvesting continues for 2023 crops and you are begin planting your fall seeded 2024 grain crops, don’t forget to certify those newly planted acres with the FSA office by December 15, 2023.
Ohio State has received a $125,000 grant for an agricultural connectivity project. The funding from BroadbandOhio will bring high-speed internet connectivity to The Ohio State University’s Molly Caren Agricultural Center in London, Ohio. The center which is part of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences is home to the annual, three-day farm show, Farm Science Review, which drew almost 117,000 visitors.
