USDA is investing $10 million dollars for an Ohio State led team

Date

The USDA is investing $10 million dollars for an Ohio State led team to advance climate smart agricultural practices in the Midwest. So far advancements in CSAPs have been a double-edged sword with more efficiency and productivity but also increased vulnerability to extreme weather and declines in soil health along with biodiversity loss. The new project focuses on cooperation with farmers to overcome obstacles and find innovations to increase their usage and work with students and the next generation of farmers.

The project is funded through USDA’s flagship Sustainable Agricultural Systems program. For more information click here https://senr.osu.edu/news/usda-invests-10-million-ohio-state-led-team-accelerate-adoption-climate-smart-agricultural
